All types of hair loss services to clients in Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, and Berkshire In the comfort of your home.
Who Am I ?
My hairdressing career started over three decades ago, but it changed direction and focus due to several members of my family being affected by cancer.
The mentor during this change was Trevor Sorbie who is renowned for his work in extending hairdressing skills for the benefit of patients with hair loss resulting from medical problems such as chemotherapy
Somehow I seemed to have developed a skill over these last few years to enable me to give patients the time and understanding that they need. It makes me really happy to give people the care that I gave my own family, and make a positive contribution at a difficult time.
Why is my service required ?
Sadly hair loss, though usually temporary, is a side effect of some medical treatments, most commonly chemotherapy or radiotherapy i also see a lot of clients who's hair may not come back like alopecia. so for some clients it may be a long term option to have to wear a wig or a hairpiece which is why it is most important to get it right.
I strongly feel that looking good is incredibly important for keeping a positive outlook. Most people consider their hair to be their crowning glory and this is why my care and expertise is focused on the bridging period between hair loss and its return.
I also work as a volunteer therapist at the fountain centre a charity which helps cancer patients at St Lukes cancer centre in the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. Here I provide free advice and support to clients for any kind of hair loss,I then offer suggestions appropriate for their needs.
